Accessing Your Online Accounts After You're Gone

The Wall Street Journal shared an article that raises a good question: does your significant other have access to your online account logins and passwords to access if something were to happen to you tomorrow? Many Americans are great at creating fool-proof password combinations that no one knows. "No one" means not even their spouse. There are many account login vaults that offer to protect your account information but very few people use them. With more and more people receiving online statements, it makes it even more difficult for your spouse to access the accounts. Generation X Beware

CNN Money reports about a surprising study on the financial stability of Generation X-ers. This study shows that they may be worse off than the Baby Boomers after the recession. "'Unless this path is altered, younger Baby Boomers and Gen Xers may face a real possibility of downward mobility in their Golden Years,' said Diana Elliott, research manager for Pew's economic mobility project."
